我々協議会の活動拠点である石川県には、加賀料理など豊富な食材を生かした洗練された食文化、伝統工芸そして全国的にも有名な温泉地や歴史遺産がございます。更には美しい海岸線や里山、田園風景などの日本の本物の原風景が今でも残っており、世界に向けて誇れる観光資源に恵まれた地域でございます。
引き続き、これらの素材を世界に向けて積極的に情報発信することにより、日本へそして石川県への誘客を推進して参る所存です。そして、世界中の良質なものに慣れ親しんだ海外富裕層を本格的に受け入れていくために、地域の受入れ体制づくりを同時に進めていきたいと考えております。
今後とも皆様の協議会活動へのご理解とご協力賜りますよう何卒よろしくお願い申し上げます。

We will commit ourselves to developing a luxury life-experience that attracts discerning travelers who wish to experience authentic Japan with the aim of making Ishikawa a first choice destination within Japan. In order to achieve this we will specifically carry out the following;
1, Reassess and recognize the uniqueness of Ishikawa and the significance of its culture and traditional crafts on a global scale.
2, Engage actively in promotional campaigns both inside and outside Japan with an aim to making luxury tourism an important part of the local economy.
3, Aim to provide a level of service and hospitality that meets the highest of luxury standards.
4, Implement cross-industrial and outreach developments with Ishikawa's tourist providers based upon the skills and knowledge of the local residents.
5, Develop infrastructure and training in Ishikawa and Hokuriku so that travelers are provided with a unique experience and can enjoy the hospitality of the Ishikawa people.

On behalf of Ishikawa Prefecture I would like to give a heartfelt welcome to all the guests of the 2nd International Luxury Lifestyle Forum. Ishikawa Prefecture is blessed with beautiful locations, a diversity of authentic Japanese tradition, as well as being a Japanese cultural and artistic cornerstone fostered by more than 400 years of history: famous among them Kanazawa City, one of Japan's foremost castle towns; sophisticated Kaga cuisine; a unique range of arts and crafts; the picturesque seasonal landscapes of the Kaga area and Noto Peninsula; and the traditional ryokan inns whose hot spring baths have soothed weary travelers for hundreds of years. I believe that this variety of Ishikawa's offerings will appeal to luxury travelers seeking an authentic Japan experience. I hope this 2nd International Luxury Lifestyle Forum held in Ishikawa Prefecture, a microcosm of real Japan, will pave the way for promoting the best that Japan has to offer, leading to an expansion of the luxury travel market in Ishikawa's tourism industry.「第2回ラグジュアリーライフスタイル国際会議」の開催に際し、国内外から多くの皆様に石川県にお越しいただき、心から歓迎します。石川県には、加賀百万石の城下町金沢や、その400年に亘る歴史と伝統に育まれた伝統工芸、加賀料理などの洗練された食文化、さらには能登・加賀の四季折々の美しい自然、日本有数の温泉などの豊富な地域資源があり、世界に誇れる「本物の日本」の伝統や文化が今もなお強く息づいています。質の高い本物の伝統や文化、すなわち「本物の日本」を希求する世界のラグジュアリー層の方々にとって、石川県は、まさに極めて魅力的な目的地であると言えるのではないでしょうか。この国際会議を通じて、「本物の日本」が凝縮される「石川」が世界に発信されるとともに、石川の観光サービス業のラグジュアリーマーケットの開拓に向けた取り組みが、更に大きく拡がっていくことを大いに期待しております。
I would like to express my admiration for the 2nd International Luxury Lifestyle Forum, held in Ishikawa Prefecture, home to numerous tourism attractions including a famous culinary culture, and traditional arts and crafts. I consider it very signi cant that a conference of this nature is held in Ishikawa Prefecture with its unique o erings for the discerning traveler. I would also like to thank The Real Japan Ishikawa Project Committee, led by Chairman Shinichiro Takagi and Yoshihiko Oda, and all those involved in the forum. The Japan Tourism Agency aims to increase the number of travelers to Japan to 15 million by the year 2013, and 30 million thereafter. In order to achieve this, we will carry out a large promotional campaign abroad. We will place particular emphasis on the luxury travel market as it can enhance Japan's brand image and make a signi cant economic contribution. In conjunction with local governments, we plan to further carry out the Visit Japan Campaign and internationalize Japan's local regions so that they will be revitalized.「第2回ラグジュアリーライフスタイル国際会議」の開催を心よりお喜び申し上げます。食・伝統工芸などにおいて魅力的な観光コンテンツを数多く有する石川においてこうした会議が開催されることは大変意義深いものであり、The Real Japanいしかわプロジェクト推進協議会の小田、髙木両代表をはじめ、開催のためにご尽力をされた全ての関係の皆様に敬意の念を表します。観光庁では、観光立国の実現に向け、｢訪日外国人旅行者数を将来的に 3,000万人、その第1期として2013年までに1,500万人｣との新たな目標の達成を目指して、大規模かつ効果的な海外プロモーションを展開することとしております。その中で、日本ブランドの価値を高め、高い経済効果が期待される海外富裕層旅行市場の取り組みについても力を入れて取り組んでいきたいと考えております。今回の会議のような取り組みをはじめとして、今後とも地域の活力・底力が最大限発揮されるよう、地方と国が連携してビジット・ジャパンキャンペーンや地方の国際化に取り組んで参りたいと思います。
